About Nope Institute

NOPE Institute Mission

“To be the leading regional provider of high quality professional and competitively priced wellness programs”

NOPE Institute develops and markets a range of professional services and technical assistance to companies, NGO’s and other organizations. The technical assistance focuses on development and management of comprehensive HIV/AIDS and Wellness programs using peer led approaches and participatory methods. Currently, NOPE’s clients base is over 200 organizations both public and private sector and civil society.

This is achieved by working in the areas of Training; Research, Monitoring and Program Documentation; Program & Policy Development; Advocacy support; Networking and Community & Family Outreaches. NOPE uses participatory, problem-posing methods and experiential learning so that participants explore subjective values and attitudes in influencing better risk perception and develop their own paths towards attitude and behaviour change. All training programs are therefore based on participation, experiential learning and non-classroom learning principles as the guiding principles.

The Nope Institute’s Consultancy wing has developed and offers the following services:

· Training and capacity building services (Peer Education, Training of Trainers and Committee trainings)

· Informative studies,Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (Formative assessment, baseline surveys)

· Family Welfare services (family fun days, youth open days, spouses forums)

· Services for response beyond the workplace e.g community CSR Linkages

· Support services – staff induction, refreshers, upgrading, thematic quarterly meetings

· Advocacy and management sensitization (selling core ideas to the management i.e. a package to support health care in their organizations)

· Policy Development and implementation assistance

· Program formulation assistance

· Documentation

· Strategic Planning
